Live From LA

So this post will lack pictures for the time being due to the fact that I am updating my blog via my iPhone. Currently there is no Internet at my grandmas house and I can't seem to log onto Ron's wireless. So far I have done multiple thing while being out here. My first night in town I kicked it with Travis after he got off work. We just talked a little bit and kicked it. But the following day was interesting, I had to clean the whole kitchen in preparation of the new fridge that was coming in. Damn that buildup from underneath was just straightup gross. But I managed to finish that up, and after I took my nap I went to Resurrection Cemetery to visit Lola Pacing, Lolo Vic and Lolo. it was good seeing all of them and being in their presence. And then after that I went to the Lakers game. first off, that was an entertaining game, I like the Warriors bcause they're a team that doesn't play defense, just high octane offense for 48 minutes. The Lakers almost through away a 15 point lead late in the 4th, but of course Kobe came through. During one of the timeouts I participated in the Chevron Challenge around STAPLES and I ended up winning a $100 gas card. LOL. Then on Friday I spent just about the whole day with Travis. We went to the mall and I picked up some beater Vans to leave here and from there we cruised. I messed up and ate chicken on accident, so I just said EFF it and mobbed In-N-Out. We were running out of time so we dropped off Caleb at Baskin Robbins and just ate there. And after our meal Caleb hooked up the free ice cream since his parents own the franchise. Hella ella dope. I was an idiot and gave Travis the wrong directions to go Puente Hills, we ended up going the wrong way and just decided to go Westfield West Covina instead. Then I was told by security not to take pictures, haha whatev. I found the little cart that sold New Era Philippines hats, so I snagged one for me and one for Joffer. Then I got dropped off to my cousins house. Then we went to go meet up with fam that was at Starbucks. Caught up with some of them and got to see Alyssa again and my babies. Yesterday I overslept cause I was up really late playing video games, so all I ended up doing was going to grab some food at ABC Cafe. Eggs and steak for $6? How can you possibly beat that. Today I was supposed to hoop, but it didn't quite work out. Instead I went to church with grandma and Kuya Chris and we just ran some random errands. We drove past this one spot in Pasadena I've never been to, it was really nice. Then called Sonya and talked to her before I took a nap. Killed some time and here I am updating this. I think I will visit Lolo tomorrow and talk to him and spend some time with him. Aileen is in SoCal right now and I was talking to her and wanted to meet up, but I let her go sleep cause she is tired, I'll be thinking to myself for awhile to figure these things out on my mind. Can't Help But Wonder

These have really been on my eye for the last few days. I simply can't get over it. I'll update later after I get more of my paper written.

So I lagged hella hard and here I am finishing up this post from quite awhile back. The last week has been really busy and I can't help but say that I'm glad that the stressful part is now over. I'm sitting at my gate at PDX awaiting my flight to Long Beach. Gonna see lola, and then kick it with Travis once he gets off work later tonight. Gonna take more pictures and stuff tonight. But I'm gonna elaborate on the week that passed.

Last week I went to Buffalo Wild Wings with Ashley (as if it were a surprise). We kicked it and talked, it had been a few weeks. We played with a football for awhile, pretty confusing if you asked me. I saw D Fresh and he was probably wondering wth I was doing playing with some random girl in a parking lot at 10pm. Whatever.




I went to school on Thursday to put in some work. I actually forgot what I was doing, probably printing off my paper for Geology in the Library. That class was actually a lot harder than I expected it to be, then again it is a college level course so what else should I have expected? Had some free time before class started so I started snapping some random pictures, it was a great day. And there's this weird structure that I always look at on campus, I can never quite figure it out, but I figured it'd be cool to take a picture of.




We got out of class quite early on Thursday, primarily because it was the last class and the lesson did not permit any more teaching. I was beyond happy, I decided to take advantage of the situation and kill some time before the Lakers vs Spurs game. Went around the neighborhood and took pictures of random houses. Lets start off with mine...then work my way to the multi-million dollar ones. After the game I headed out to Ava's where I studied til I got hungry and dipped to McDonalds to QUICKLY finish 2 Big Macs before the clock hit midnight.








Next up? Saturday: Team banquet. So our season came to an abrupt end, one that was bitter and sad; but hey, that's basketball, right? We finalized the spot and we had Godfather's reserved for our team. The night before me and Gayboy were smashing at Resident Evil 5 and we probably got 80% of the game done in 15 hours. Haha, we're nerds HELLA HARD. But anyway we rolled to the banquet and Sonya and Cardenas came too. Took some random pictures and that was my weekend for the most part. I won't post pics of Sonya because my bestie is camera shy, but I'll do it later when I get more pics of her. HAHAHAHA :P

The Weekend Passed

Today:
So today progressively gets worse, and it's quite interesting how. I didn't get enough sleep and had to push myself through the morning, but first up it was snowing heavily when I woke up. Today is March 9th, it is STILL snowing in Portland, WTF?!?! I managed to do okay on my accounting quizzes. So a miracle happened and the Employee Store held the rest of their shipment of the 1/2 Cents for Saturday, and Steven was able to pick them up for me. Good look to Steven for helping me pick up a pair of my grails. $107 vs $190. I'll gladly take the discounted price, prices are already $280 on Flightclub.

Then me and Jordi headed to Five Guys, it was my sister's first time there so I made sure to snap a few pics.




Then there was hail (today there was hail, rain, snow, AND sun). Headed home, took a nap, and had the BEST dream of my life. It was SO realistic, woke up to find out it was just a dream and I was just crushed. Headed to Ma's house to watch Blazers vs. Lakers and Lake Show is down by 17 currently in the 4th. I've been getting a lot of shit for being a Lakers fan and it pisses me off especially when its coming from douche bags who won't even support their team when they were called the "Jail Blazers." Whatever.

Friday:
I had a free day, and the night before I went to Ava's to study for accounting even though I was done with class for the week. I basically BS'd the day along, talked to Krizzia, ate FISH, and figured out what I needed to do. Finally got the S5 back so I've been messing around, I probably shouldn't take pictures while I drive, but whatever.

Where I should have went to school. Sunset, UGH.

Had to wait on Gayboy so I went to go visit Thai at work.


Then went to go visit Gayboy.

Chilled with him for awhile, then we went to go coach for second round of playoffs. We lost to the team that probably will win it all. Played more Killzone 2 and passed out.

Saturday:
Woke up, went to go coach another game, this time we won by 28. Took a break, went to Hakatamon with Gayboy and my parents to celebrate. We then proceeded to go to the second game, this would be the last official jump ball Julius would jump. "Transcendant" right? Naw, me just being a shitty photographer. We lost at the buzzer to the 2nd Sunset team in our bracket.

Then we headed back and heard Aileen was coming home, so I text her and she wanted to eat. EJ hit me up out of nowhere and told me he was in the area, so I picked up Aileen and we headed to Buffalo Wild Wings (just like always) and met up with my cousin and his girlfriend. It was my first time meeting her, I wanted to make sure I made a lasting impression. Haha.



Afterward me and Aileen went back to my house and we made cookies, and she helped! Haha.

She's a keeper, right? :] haha



Sunday:
Went to church, did my own thing as usual. Then managed to watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians the whole day cause it was a marathon; took a short break and met up with Melissa to have some pho. Then came home to watch the season premiere of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Preparing.

Once again I am preparing for something in the future; this time it happens to be for Los Angeles as well as getting ready for basketball come June. I thought that it was pretty crazy that I was able to go running and still be able to play basketball afterward. I think I'll be sore in the next few days if I keep running, I need to get in shape and healthy in general. Ever since I graduated high school I seem even lazier and more unhealthy, I don't want to become like my dad and just let myself go when I can very well do something about it now. On top of that I am doing my part for Lent; what did I give up? I gave up bullshit for Lent. No excuses, no blaming, no stupid things, no dumb people, nothing unnecessary. I like keeping it that way, and as far as things are going it is going pretty well. I haven't been keeping up with the homework that Father Dave assigned at mass on Sunday, so I'll go catch up as soon as I'm done posting this. Our homework was to read one chapter a night in the Bible, so I shall do my part, I have no clue where to start. Lately, I've been doing my own thing and not really hanging out with anybody. Most recently I've been hanging out with Paul and Sonya, but everybody else seemed to just fall off or do there own thing. And to be honest, it doesn't bother me at all I actually really enjoy all the space I'm getting. It happens to be the exact opposite of what last term was, and my grades are here to reflect the difference. With much contemplation, I have been debating what to do with certain people, especially with what I have taken under my fast for Lent. I feel it is right to cut off more people, specifically for reasons that they have brought up themselves. I'm not here to baby anybody or give anybody special treatment, and when what I do and am willing to do for people is taken for granted, I don't take it very lightly. I will handle them on my own time and figure it accordingly. Since I've started running there's been a few things on my mind when I run: success. And generally speaking, success is psychological and based completely upon self-will. Quite simply, if you don't want it, you will never reach the success you seek to obtain. And the way I see it, it's not about strides, it is about baby steps. Nothing great was accomplished overnight, and I can't expect myself to do all these things I said I would within a short window of time, so I will focus my attention to the situation at hand and allocate my efforts efficiently so that things can be broken down and simple. And lastly, I feel ready to handle my unfinished business in LA...I'm determined.

Lets Flip Things Around

It's officially Lent as of last Wednesday, and that proved to be an interesting day. I haven't been to Ash Wednesday in years, so when I got there late and didn't find out that ashes are given at the end of mass I felt really dumb, I had to leave early because I had coaching obligations, but it was still nice to attend mass with Paul. Holy Trinity was packed that night, and from what I heard today at mass that set a new record for HT, it hasn't been that packed there not even for Christmas. What a surprise right? I didn't get to post pics of the original batch of cookies Fatty and Jordi made, but I'll throw them on here soon. They came out really good, and Sonya liked them so much that she wanted a second round. She came over, and I ended up doing the entire thing by myself. How lame, oh well, they were for her anyway. Haven't done much this week, just back to basics and focusing on what I'm supposed to be doing, school, coaching, and church. Today seemed like the most wasted day I've had in awhile, all I did was watch ESPN and Food Network all day, freakin pointless. I've been getting flaked on lately, so I figure I might as well just not hit people up. Falling off round 2! So for those of you who are following this, cool. If not, oh well. Hit me up if you really need something, other than that back on my quest. And then recharge in LA in 2 weeks!!!
