206?

For those that don't know what area code that is, sorry you can look it up. But it was quite spontaneous and I made the trip to just chill. There was plenty that was on my mind over the weekend, so it was real dope to just get out and cool out for a little bit. Besides, work hasn't called me to start yet so I might as well enjoy myself while I can enjoy it. I've just been posted up here doing random things with Paul. Watched most of the Finals Game 5 with Paul, he was yelling at Turkoglu the whole time cause they either weren't passing to him, or he was missing. I watched the whole ceremony of the Lakers receiving their 15th, Phil his 10th, and Kobe and Fish both getting their 4th. Proud of my team, even happier for my city. I went to Paul's class yesterday and it was really long and boring, I was playing with my iPhone the whole time. And yesterday night we went to the rock climbing gym, it was really interesting cause that was my first time being in a rock climbing gym. Looks pretty hard, but I'm down to try it some day. Today I woke up and had to pick up Paul from school, driving in Seattle was pretty interesting. Not too bad at all considering his school is easy to get to from his house, but nonetheless I like it out here, very nice and similar to Portland, but bigger and better vibe. We met up with my cousin at Pike's and chilled throughout the day. The pics can speak for themselves, and uhhhh Gameworks was DOPE! Miss a few people back home, but they know who they is! Coming back tomorrow, whack. But all good things must come to an end right? Getting away never felt so good.

Comin into town.
On the bridge, walking to the bus.
Found the crack spot on the way to the bus.
Running like Forrest to catch the bus.
This is when I drove today, tryna come back to Safeco.
Into the alley.
And outside of it, the wall of gum.
...and a moped.
Oh the colors.
And the close up.
Then we went down to the harbor.
And he didn't call "no homo."
Only "tree dolla"!!!!!
I had to find a way in.
And one more time.
Had to hit up Ivars.
Feeding seagulls sucks.
Had to come through, just had to.
And we had to roll through cause...
...the baby gangstas was killin on the inside.
Back on the streets we found this. And I'm psyched.

That would be all folks!

Welcome Back Summer

It is now time for me to greet summer, because it is finally here. I can't believe it has already been a whole year since everything, so much is different. It's quite indescribable. Tomorrow I have to attend Nainoa and Jessica's graduation at the Chiles Center. Who is gonna be there with me? Can't believe both of them are graduating, I still remember meeting Nainoa when he was still a freshman. Damn, time passes by so fast. I can't believe that I've already been out of high school for two years, it's way too crazy. Today was my last day of school and it's really relieving to know I'm just done, no tests or studying for awhile. The only problem now is to figure out what I'm supposed to do with myself. I got a job interview set up on Friday, and I'm already guaranteed a job, just going through the motions. With all the commotion and whatnot, I've started to get caught up in a lot of things. My mind is lost and the confusion is starting to set in, luckily I have all the time in the world to figure this all out. I'm not far from my goal, halfway to graduating! I'm excited for the new iPhone update and all that is going to come out of that. Matter of fact, I want a Macbook Pro, heard they're only $1200. Too bad I got bills to pay.

Last weekend I did a bunch of random things. Watched The Hangover certified classic! If you haven't watched it yet, I advise that you do. Had me laughing the whole way through. We kicked it as usual at the normal spots, and randomly we got called up to play basketball...in the dark. Also we hit up the food carts on Hawthorne, pretty dope. Great weekend, and I'm looking forward to plenty more during the summer.

We was doing the same damn thing.
My grilled chicken banh mi.
Later that night: chili dog x philly cheese (left = me/right = mike)
Of course Sonya and my sister were starving.
Tryna act hard.
Haven't seen him in forever, Kenji being Kenji.
Michael Jordan...I mean...Huthmacher.
What we do on a weekly basis.
Where we always somehow end up.
My country, my city, my team.

U.S. Excluded?

Are you fckin kidding me? Really JB? That sounds like something stupid that they would do. Take a highly anticipated shoe and create plenty of hype, only to have it be an international release ONLY. This is exactly what is wrong with the sneaker game, too many douche bag moves, and nobody is kept happy any more. Makes me glad I picked up photography instead. But just in case, I'll keep my fingers crossed for True Blue 3's in August.

Banana Pancakes...?

Well Jack Johnson sings about banana pancakes, so today I decided to have banana pancakes cake. Me and Sonya had the "Cake for 2" which was more like for 4 people at New Seasons. We always seem to have interesting and really funny conversations when we're there. She was giving the counter the eye, and I got really scared real quick. Before that we were at Buffalo Wild Wings like always and did our thang thang over there. And after I dropped off Sonya I went to Alex's house and visited his family. Saw the kids and played with them for a little. Dipped and went to Red Brick to chill with Mike and Tommy for a little bit, and now me and Mike are posted at Leo's while I do my powerpoint and watch The International.

Yesterday I checked out this sandwich spot on Morrison with my sister and Bob called Bunk Sandwiches. Pretty bomb, really good sandwiches. Sadly I wasn't too big of a fan of the bread, but to each his own! After I went to the Ace to finish up my shrimp paper/powerpoint for my presentation yesterday. I ran and hooped and I'm still sore from it, need to get back in shape for summer. Got my hair chopped by Mike Y, and the rest is history. I should keep it for a couple weeks, then see wsup.

Damn, schools almost out and all I can think about is making money, hooping, and coolin out like no other.

***Sonya was irritated I put up random pictures of her on here, so I'll do it some more. LOL

What's Really Good?

So it has been quite some time since I last posted, but here I am doing what I gotta do. There's been plenty to keep me busy the last couple months. But now I have some free time and I got plenty of pictures. Spring basketball has ended, and for me that's definitely something that kept me afloat amidst everything else. Now I don't get to see these kids play basketball, at least not for me and honestly it's taught me a lot about myself, what kind of person I am and what I know to expect from myself. I like being there for the kids, I enjoy giving back to the same community that gave me so much. Hopefully I've made an impact in these kids lives, to help them learn something about not only hoops, but their futures as well. This week is currently Dead Week, so everybody is so focused on performing and studying for next week. Sound kind of crazy, but it has already been a year since summer '08. Is that a relief, or is it a surprise? Either way the entire concept simply blows my mind. This time last year I was getting psyched to go see Kanye with Paul, and now I'm getting ready to watch Nainoa and Jessica graduate. Freakin nuts! Everybody has been doing their own thing more than ever, and I've just been kicking it with Mike, doing random things and hooping all the time. Who's down to ball in the hot ass sun? FML. Hey, at least we're getting darker right? I already got a full-time summer job, and that should surely keep me busy and keep me focused and on the grind. No room for slacking this summer, gotta put in work. Hoops, a few friends, and stacking cash is all I will need to get through this summer. Since I'm not playing in PSO this year, I'll be making a few trips to Seattle to visit Paul. Should be chill, maybe catch a Mariners game or something. Damn, I wish I could go back to LA with my dad to visit grandma, but I'll be back down soon enough. I'll post my thoughts later, for now I'll just leave you with some photos to enjoy. Using the 18-135 makes my life so much easier, but hey I gotta start somewhere right? PCE!

Here's a short version of who I've been with/seen and what I've been doing. (CLICK FOR FULL SIZE)
